The Sample Box

Not sure where to start. I pull the material finishes for your home together into a bespoke sample box and send it to you, with the specification sheet and supplier details inside, so you can see, touch and order exactly what you need.

Hadeda Studio sample box: navy tile, oak, brushed nickel and a deep blue bouclé in a branded box

Why a box?

With the right information, and a designer selecting the materials for your home, you receive a curated box holding everything you need to turn an idea into something real.

Save weeks finding the right suppliers and chasing up samples from each of them.

What is in it

Paint

A brushed-out board for every colour, in the sheen that surface will actually be, and a sample pot so you can put it on your own wall. Walls, trim and ceilings read differently and are chosen separately.

Timber, carpet and stone

Flooring, carpet and joinery boards, large enough to lay beside one another rather than squint at. Engineered stone comes in the box. Natural stone we go and see, because a chip tells you nothing about the veining on your slab.

Tile

The tile itself, so you can see the glaze, the variation and how it reads against the floor and the joinery rather than on a supplier's website.

Metal finishes

Tapware, door handles and cabinet hardware, as finish discs in the hand, so you can see how brass sits against your tile and whether a matte black will show every fingerprint.

Fabric

Curtain, sheer and upholstery swatches, so you can see the weave and how the colour sits against the wall and the floor beside it.

The schedule

Every surface named room by room, with the supplier, the product and the code beside it. Your painter, your tiler and your joiner all work from the same page.

How it works

01

Tell me about the house

A briefing form, your plans if you have them, and photographs of the rooms as they are now.

02

I select the materials

I put the palette together as a whole, room by room, so the house reads as one house rather than a set of separate decisions.

03

The box arrives

Everything packed in order, with the schedule, ready for you to see it in the room.

Priced by the room

$450

per room

A room at a time. Choose the rooms you want now and add more later if the project grows. A kitchen, a bathroom, a bedroom, a living space or a laundry each count as one room, and the price is the same for all of them.
